Titleholders seal Johnson switch
VfL Wolfsburg continue to build their squad for the new season and have now included a promising winger to boost competition on the right side. Fabian Johnson arrives for an undisclosed fee from TSV 1860 München.
"We're really happy about signing Fabian Johnson," Wolfsburg's coach Armin Veh said. "He's got huge talent and has not yet reached the end of his development. I am convinced that he'll make several steps forward with us."

European Champion
The U21 international can occupy several positions, having learned his trade as a fullback for 1860 before helping out in midfield as well. When he won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship this summer with Germany, he was often used in attacking midfield.
Fabian Johnson is a product of 1860's youth academy, having joined the 'Lions' in 1996 and making his professional debut in 2006/07. As his contract with 1860 was due to expire next season, the Munich outfit chose to let go of him now and cashed in on a fee that is reported to be less than 2,5 Million Euro. Johnson has signed a contract until 2012 with Wolfsburg.
