Diva của dòng nhạc R&B Beyonce Knowles dẫn đầu đề cử giải Grammy năm nay với 10 đề cử ở 10 hạng mục. Xếp sau cô là ngôi sao nhạc đồng quê 19 tuổi Taylor Swift với 8 đề cử. Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, Kanye West và Jay-Z mỗi người 6 đề cử. Trong khi đó, 2 nhân vật "đình đám" của năm 2009 David Guetta và Lady Gaga "vui lòng" với 5 đề cử.
